Williamson County Clean-up - April 30 2005

The volunteers get ready to start their Williamson County Clean-Up activity. Z100, a local radio station, supplied all the t-shirts warn by the volunteers. Southern Illinois University, Carbondale President and the radio personality from Z100 read the directions to the volunteers for that afternoons activities. Getting the crowd pumped up before the afternoon of cleaning.
Although the weather was overcasted, these volunteers pushed through the afternoon in order to make Williamson County spotless…or at least trash less.
Z100 kept the music playing to keep everyone in good spirits.
Even though the weather was not ideal, this little boy doesn’t seem to let that get to him. He was very excited at all the things he found and the good deed he was doing for his community.

It’s never too early to start making a difference. SIUC President is working hard picking up the trash along the side of the road.
