Beautify Southern Illinois Student Alliance (BSISA) March 1, 2008 litter cleanup

On Saturday, April 12, 2008, the Beautify Southern Illinois Student Alliance teamed up with the Saluki Volunteer Corps and the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge for a clean up event.

Volunteers complete registration, receive clean up supplies, and instructions from Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge staff at the Play Port Marina on Crab Orchard Lake.

Southern Illinoisan photographer Brett Nadal caught up with a number of volunteers at the eastern edge of refuge property cleaning up near Old Route 13 and the railroad tracks at the western edge of Marion. Thank you for the newspaper story!
