Household Hazardous Waste Day

On Saturday, April 19, 2008, the Jackson County Health Department sponsored and paid for another Household Hazardous Waste Day at the Southern Illinois Airport between Carbondale & Murphysboro. The event offered individuals the opportunity to properly dispose of a wide variety of household hazardous waste free of charge. As you can see form the photos below, the event was highly successful and helped to properly dispose of a tremendous amount of household hazardous waste.
