Carbondale Main Street Fall Planting September 14, 2010
On Tuesday, September 14th, students from two Southern Illinois University Carbondale student groups, the Leadership Council and the Student Alumni Council, planted dozens of fall flowers in downtown Carbondale. The project was sponsored by Carbondale Main Street http://www.carbondalemainstreet.com/ . The flowers and supervision were provided by Greenridge Landscaping of Carbondale

Carbondale Main Street does a terrific job of maintaining the downtown area's flower beds. Such positive projects help to give visitors to our community and region a positive impression. Their work is greatly appreciated.
The student-leaders who helped plant the fall flowers will be able to see the fruits of their labor for the rest of the fall!
