On Sunday, October 16, 2011, SIUC Beautify Southern Illinois Student Alliance (BSISA) teamed up with the SIUC Circle K to work on a trail at Giant City State Park in Makanda, Illinois. The student-volunteers worked on trail erosion, cutting back plant growth from the trail and litter cleanup.Paul B., Land of Lincoln/Southern 7 Ameri-Corps Member helped to organize the event.

After the volunteer work, the group enjoyed a cookout sponsored by BSISA in beautiful Giant City State Park.
